My Experience
As a Product Design Manager (Lead) , I am responsible for the end-to-end design of Nelnet's Higher Ed and K-12 products, encompassing a total of 9 critical applications. Reporting to the IT Director, I guide a talented team of 4 IC designers in unifying the user experience across our software ecosystem.
I'm passionate about fostering collaboration and driving innovation. By implementing standardized design tracking and organization processes, I've streamlined our workflows, accelerating team alignment by 2x and reducing overall time-consuming manual hours. Additionally, I've championed user-centered design principles, advocating for rigorous user testing across all products. This has resulted in a significant reduction in design iterations and improved client satisfaction post-product launch.
